What makes a great video advertisement?

Capturing viewer's attention to continue watching till the end? Unable to anticipate the next screen, therefore getting viewers to think? Also on this point, anyone would say that if they hired Pierce Brosnan, their ad must be action packed. But this, to me, is "point of difference" from their competitors, and they dare to be different when it comes to associating to a big celebrity name and what is expected from him with their brand. All these, I guess, is for a share of a consumer mind and hopefully heart too!

Their brand positioning of using celebrity endorsement is to send an "assurance of quality" message across, as someone "big on screen" and famous is endorsing it, so it must be true.

Blending all that with a perfect getaway location, white snowy background in a mountain and a hut with a someone waiting for you at the door, how is that for a great advertisement?

Only when it is gone!

Came across this affective marketing message on a poster today in a toilet! Yes, in a toilet! Looking at the poster, it looks like a right place to be at.

This message is so generic but yet powerful. Readers can easily interpret the message to fit their thoughts or situation.

For me, it is a timely reminder that in the midst of earning my dough and studying my MBA coupled with a family of kids and wife, I should not forget my loved ones and friends that have been ever so supportive throughout my life!
